Ducks game postponed after Blues’ Jay Bouwmeester collapses on bench

The Ducks’ game against the Blues on Tuesday was postponed during the first period because of a medical emergency near the St. Louis bench, according to the Ducks’ official Twitter account.

There was a medical emergency near the Blues bench. A Blues player was taken into the dressing room, and the game is currently delayed.

The score was tied 1-1 before the game was suspended 12 minutes 10 seconds into the first period.

A video appeared to show Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester collapsing on the bench and his teammates waiving over help.

The Ducks later announced the game will be postponed.

Due to the medical emergency involving Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester, tonight’s game will be postponed and made up at a later date. The Ducks and Blues thank you for your understanding.
